Fabryka Robotów – Museum of Scrap Sculpture
Fabryka Robotów – Museum of Scrap Sculpture
Not only has it been recognised in the main competition, but it also won the Internet Users Certificate. In this museum, situated not far from the Moszna Castle, scrap metal gets a second life in the form of impressive steel sculptures inspired by science fiction films. The largest of them weigh up to 900 kg, reach 3.5 metres in height and take around 700 hours to complete! The displayed works represent characters known from films, such as the Transformers and Predator franchises, as well as everyday objects with a steampunk twist. All of them were created by one artist, Sebastian Kucharski. His passion for fantasy cinema and extraordinary creativity resulted in the creation of extraordinary robots that impress with precision and detail.
There are also some pretty unique exhibits, such as the authentic sword used by Predator in the third part of the series and the world’s only hydrogen cell that powered the T-800 Terminator played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. A visit to Fabryka Robotów is not only a treat for sci-fi nerds, but also an inspiring place showing how seemingly useless materials can create real works of art.
