Electric Water Tram – Bay of Puck Summer Experience 2026
Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot form one of the Baltic coast’s most exciting seaside regions, combining vibrant city life with long sandy beaches and historic waterfront charm.
In 2026, visitors can discover a new and truly unique way to explore the coast: the electric water tram across the scenic Bay of Puck, connecting Puck, Swarzewo and Chałupy.
This eco-friendly water route offers a relaxed and scenic alternative to busy roads, allowing travellers to enjoy one of Northern Poland’s most beautiful coastal landscapes from the water. It’s also a fantastic option for cyclists, with bicycles allowed on board — perfect for combining a cruise with an active day by the sea.
Often described as a hidden gem of the Polish Baltic coast, the water tram transforms a simple transfer into a memorable travel experience, with open views across the bay and the Hel Peninsula.
Journey times are short and comfortable: around 45 minutes from Puck to Chałupy, 20 minutes from Chałupy to Swarzewo, and 25 minutes returning to Puck.
The service begins on 16 May 2026 and will operate three to four times daily throughout the season. Tickets cost PLN 25 one-way, with concessions available for children, seniors and passengers with disabilities. Bicycle transport is available for an additional fee of approximately PLN 10.
A perfect summer day might start with coffee at the marina in Puck, followed by a gentle cruise across the bay, time on the beaches of Chałupy, windsurfing or cycling along the coast, and a spectacular golden-hour return journey over calm waters.
