Wooden construction of health resort buildings in Iwonicz is one of its kind in Poland. It was erected at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. The architectural style of these buildings is desribed as a combination of so-called Swiss Style (pupular style of that time in Europe) with Late Classical stream of Polish architecture. Later there were added the elements typical for the Art Nouveau, various forms of carpentry and folk architecture. The center of the health resort consists of detached buildings, situated within the former spa department limits. Apart from the building of mineral-water bathroom, the rest are made from wood and mostly two-storied. A pavilion over mineral springs, a chapel and a band-shell are also wooden buildings.
