Gniezno Narrow Gauge Railway came into existence in 1883 and at the beginning it was used by the suger plant in Gniezno to transport its goods.
In 1893 it was bought and was available for a public use. For many years its name was different and it was working on six train lines. Today it works as transport for people and tourists and also carriage of cargo between Gniezno and Anastazewo.
