The church and the monastery of the Carmelite Order were built in the mid 18th c. in a Baroque style in Biernackiego Street, on the site of an old wooden chapel.
The church and the monastery of the Carmelite Order were built in the mid 18th c. in a Baroque style in Biernackiego Street, on the site of an old wooden chapel. In the 19th c. the monastery became the property of the order of the Brothers Hospitallers of St. John of God, who opened there the hospital of St. Lord of God – presently a voivodship hospital. Nowadays the monastery belongs to the Carmelite Order.
