The present Church was built probably in the second half of the sixteenth century within a manor house, the remains of which have survived to today
The building functioned during this time as a manor chapel. According to the tradition, soon after, it was designed by the owners of the village for a Protestant Church. In 1697 it was reclaimed by Catholics, and it was connected to the parish in Hoczew, serving as the affiliated Church. In later years, the Church was rebuilt several times and renovated. These actions significantly distorted the original character of the temple.
