The tower belonged to a defensive system of 8 towers of Prusy. In the town there are many well-preserved elements of former fortification and a unique tower considering engineering art, from the end of XVIII century and beginning of XIX century. In the tower, there is a seat of Towarzystwo Ziemi Kozielskiej - a social and cultural association, that assembles fans of the local history. The Tower is a chamber of the memory of the region. The real museum collections are gathered in 3 rooms.
