The Theatre Museum is located in the building of the Grand Theatre - National Opera, and collects items related to the history of theatre in Poland and abroad. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, stage set designs, costumes, memorabilia of eminent artists, posters and programs. The Museum is also actively working on documenting, conservation, research and promotion. Currently one of the most important theatre centres in the country, it was also one of the first museums that was opened in post-war Poland.
