The Palm House Cafeteria was founded in 1961. It was built next to the wine house from 1818, built by August Grempler, the founder of the vineyards and the champagne plant. In the Palm House there was a restaurant located in the middle of tropical vegetation. It's an extraordinary place Zielona Gora and it attracts the citizens of Zielona Gora as well as the tourists from around the world. In the surrounding of the Palm house there is a restored winery, referring to the former large plantations, covering all suburban slopes. Just below the nearby statue of a boy with a stallion (by Thorak), there is the geographical centre of Zielona Góra.
