At Mostowa 14 street, there is a big Neoclassical tenement house from the end of XIX century. It was a former palace of the rich banker  Fenger family, the palace of Fenger, from the half of the XVIIIth  century. In this house was born Fryderyk Skarbek, an excelent economist, later godfather of Fryderyk Chopin. Chopin, beeing in 1825 in Szafarna, visited the Fenger family - godfather's grandfathers. Two memorial plaques in the front wall of the building tell about it.
