Silesian Plants of Leather Industry were found by Tomasz Bat in1929, within 3 years he transformed those plants into Spółka Akcyjna OTTA which produced shoes until 1945. After the War, it prospered well in 1960 - 1980. Now it is being restructured and in its premises there are 2 private shoe factories and other business companies.
