At the beginning the museum was a small institution, but now has more than 10 thousands exhibits, which were gathered mostly thanks to generosity of inhabitants of Mielec area. These mementoes, works of art, documents donated by people make the history of Mielec and region richer and more interesting. Museum’s collection is divided into a few sections: history, art, archeology, ethnography and photography. The museum has its own library with 3300 volubles, mostly historical and scientific.
