The First Piast Dynasty Rulers’ Museum on Lednica is located near the main road between Poznań and Gniezno.
It has four departments: Ostrów Lednicki, Small Skansen, Wielkopolska Ethnographic Park and Archeological Reserve in Giecz. On the island called Ostrów Lednicki you can see the remains of a burgh and the oldest complex of pre-Romanesque palace and church architecture in Poland, related to the times of the first Piast dynasty rulers in Poland, Mieszko I and Bolesław the Brave.
