A unique monument.
After the defeat of Powstanie Listopadowe (October Uprising) the Russians decides to build a few strongholds in Poland. The one in Brześć was supposed to be their 'way to Europe'. It was build within years 1836-46 according to Opperman design. It included forts, embankments and roads. Nowadays it is situated in Terespol district.
