After the WWII many artists came to Wroclaw from different parts of Poland. In 1945 they created a team performing in nonexisting Popular Theatre.

However, officially the theatre was created on March 21st 1995. It was called Operetka Slaska at that time. The theatre is located in the prewar historic building of Capitol Theatre, built in 1929.
