Zwierzyniec was bought by Jan Zamayjski in the 16th century. It is located at the foot of a Bukowa Góra. Jan Zamoyski build there a large, wooden manor house and established a small zoo. This place was visited by kings Władysław IV, Jan Kazimierz, Michał Wiśniowiecki. Later, while Jan Sobiepan III was ruling, a pond with 4 islands was established. On a one island Teresa and Tomasz Zamoyscy funded a Baroque church. Nowadays the seat of the Roztoczański National Park administration is placed there.
