Going the dirt-track to Pisarzowice, nearby Osobłoga, You come across so-called American's manor that belonged to countess von Opperdorf from Głogówek. The manor constituted of granaries, living house, studs,a mill and barns built at the beginning of XIX century. After II World War, some of those buildings were still used until 1960's as storehouses of Silesian Leather Industry Plant in Krapkowice-Otmęt. Later, it was ruined and the name American immortalized as Chmielnik on maps of Silesia.
