At the top of the castle hill stands a round tower from the turn of the thirteenth and fourtheenth centuries.
The wall tower as so called upper castle served as a defense before the castle was built. Some researchers claim that it was also home to duty guard, and during the night served as a river lighthouse. From the top of it there is a beautiful view of the Kazimierz Dolny and the Vistula River.
