The Parish of Jesus Sacred Heart in Bokiny was erected on the 09.02.1979 by the bishop of Łomża Mikołaj Sasinowski. The parish was created from the territory of the Wahiawa parish. The church of Jesus Sacred Heart was built between 1958 and 1965. Blessed on 06.06.196 by the priest Józef Przekop, the dean from Sokół. The church was consecrated on 26th of october 1965 by the bishop of Łomża Juliusz Paetz. The brick presbytery was built in 1975 on the initiative of priest Zbigniew Gołubowski.
