Old Synagogue in Józefów Biłgorajski - the first, no more existing wooden synagogue located in Józefów Biłgorajski under the current address Freedom Square 10.
The synagogue was built in 1744. In 1827 the synagogue lost its roof, in result of the raging storm. Along there came Stanisław Zamoyski, who helped to finance the reconstruction of the roof. In 1850, a fire broke out in the synagogue, in which it completely burned. Soon,the construction of the new brick synagogue had started at the same site, but the building was not completed until 20 years later.
