Apart from Nicholas Przybyło, the monastery was founded also by his father Bartłomiej and brother Albert Bugnerowic. The consecration of the church, and actually a modest chapel of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary took place on the 11th of August 1591. On the altar there is a painting of the Annunciation. In 1627 there was introduction of reformers who began to build the monastery and develop the Church. The monastery was built in stages in 1639-1668. It was later rebuilt.
