The gate was erected in 1432 by builder Hans Gotland. Its name derives from wooden bridge on Vistula presented formerly not far from it. It's not difficult to notice that the gate contains rounded corners. It should make it more resistant on shell strikes.The top of the building is crown by picturesque merlons. Today there are here the offices.
