First information about Świerczynki comes from 1345. The gothic St. John’s the Baptist Church dates many centuries back.
Świerczynki was a village owned by the monastery of Toruń Benedictine nuns. The brick and stone temple comes from the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. Polygonal-shaped choir supported by flying buttresses deserves particular attention.
