Catholic Church of the Transfiguration in Jarosław was built in 1717-1747. It is a major centre of pilgrimage of Polish Greek Catholics.
The temple is famous for its miraculous icon of Our Lady of Jarosław, called the Gate of Mercy. In 1996, the legate of Pope John Paul II, A. Silvestrini, made the papal coronation crowns here. The temple was renovated in 1992-1993.
