Maciej Radomicki, the town’s mayor begun the construction of arcade houses in 1695 – 1729. Only four houses with arcades remained up to this day in Rakoniewice: the pastor’s house (No. 2) and the cooper’s house (No. 5). On the west side of the market square (No. 41) is an old inn reconstructed as a smithy. House No. 40 was a bakery.
