The reserve is situated on the both sides of the road Hajnouvka – Bialoviezha and encompasses the belt of forest of the width from 700 to 1000 m. It presents to tourists the most important gatherings of the Bialoviezha Forest, predominately broadleaved forests and mixed forests. We can admire here big – pedunculate oak, spruce, Scots pine, common hornbeam. The reserve was established in 1921. It has a name of a well-known Polish activist of nature protection and a botanist – Władysław Szafer (Vladyslav Shafer) (1896–1970).
