During the ages the hall of residence of the famous Torun gymnasium - one of the best school in the Prussian district.
Built in the 1596-1601 under the rule of the excellent mayor Henryk Stroband. After a loud "tumult" in the 1724 the Torun gymnasium was transferred there also. Today it is the District Court building.
