Sculpture Museum of Alfons Karny is situated in a historic villa. Alfons Karny was a sculptor of the previous century. He belonged to the generation which played an important part in the history of the Republic of Poland. The collection of sculptures by Alfons Karny presented on the permanent exposition: "Alfons Karny - Opus vitae" is the property of the Museum of Podlasie in Białystok. The creation of the collection took over forty years and it is a valuable output of two generations of experts in museum management of Białystok The collection gathered includes several portraits. They form the Gallery of Great Poles which fully illustrates artistic output of the sculptor. Permanent exhibition concerning the life and production of Alfons Karny consists of the following parts: 1. Portraits of Great Poles, 2. Sculptor’s Studio, 3. The history of the artistic life, 4. Ancient and modern art from the artist’s collection.
