Chronicles mention about the church in 1266. In 1428 it was destroyed by hussites, later it was damaged again but by fire. Mikołaj Gaszyński was renovating the church, but unfortunately, it was damaged once again. Next supervisor was Mateusz Goldner from Munich (1620's). The church is in baroque style, while renovating, some parts of old walls were preserved. Accidentally, there was discovered polichromy from XVIII century on the ceiling of the main nave in 1911.
