The traditions of the museum date back to 1928. Since 2003 it has been a Military Museum of Pomerania. The main exhibition is dedicated to the Polish army in Pomerania – among other things, exhibits related to 19th century Polish national insurrections as well as pieces associated with the Pomeranian Military District. The museum has an open-air exhibition (presenting mainly heavy artillery). The museum also organises many temporary exhibitions.
