Extremely interesting is a railway housing estate "DYREKCJA", situated in the eastern part of the town. It was build within years 1928-1939 due to transfer the seat of Polish State Railways (PKP) from Radom to Chełm (unfortunetaly the outbreak of the war made it impossible). Buildings are marked by it's outstanding trimming and are well formed. A huge Head Offce building became a seat of various offices.
