The first Church in Ostrowiec of the Holy Archangel Uriel was founded by Prince Janusz Ostrogski in 1614.
The Church was rebuilt several times. For the last time in 1924-1928 according to the design by Stefan Szyller in neo-Baroque style. The nave of the Church was raised and extended. It resulted in aisles, funeral chapel, vesrty and the Church tower. In 1944, a new stone altar was made by Józef Jamróz.
