Land of Extinct Volcanoes UNESCO Global Geopark<\/h1>\n

The Land of Extinct Volcanoes<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Lower Silesia<\/strong>\u00a0is a real gem in the Kaczawskie Mountains and Foothills<\/strong>. The area located between Legnica, Jelenia G\u00f3ra and Strzegom will delight every enthusiast of nature, geology and history. The region abounds in fascinating remains from ancient volcanic activity hundreds of millions of years ago, such as extinct volcanoes, basalt columns and other rock formations that not only impress with their appearance, but also tell the story of our planet. It is no wonder that this year it was included in the\u00a0UNESCO Global Geoparks<\/strong> List. The area offers a variety of landscapes \u2013 from gentle rolling hills to picturesque valleys. It is an ideal place for hiking, cycling and climbing, during which you can enjoy the beauty of nature and spot rare species of plants and animals. The area of the geopark encompasses 10 nature reserves,\u00a0the Che\u0142my Landscape Park<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0areas protected under the Natura 2000 programme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
