To Poland for Body Renewal!
Poland is truly a dream destination for body renewal as well as mental and physical revival.
We have 46 official health resorts and more than 70 localities with health spa potential. Boasting great natural resources with medicinal properties, mineral water springs and beneficial microclimates, Poland definitely stands out in Europe for its extremely attractive and competitively priced offering in this area.
If you add thermal springs with well-developed infrastructure and picturesquely located spa, wellness and body renewal facilities to the mix, you get a complete picture of just how wonderful Poland is for holiday relaxation.
Poland’s thermal resorts are not just pools with hot water obtained from thermal springs, but extensive recreation complexes with water-based attractions for the whole family, bath and sauna zones, spa and wellness services as well as overnight accommodation and catering services. The largest such places are found in the south, in the Podhale region, to mention Chochołowskie Termy in Chochołów, Terma Bania in Białka Tatrzańska, and Terma Bukovina in Bukowina Tatrzańska. On the other hand, Poland’s first thermal health resort, in Uniejów, with the Termy Uniejów complex, lies in the central part of the country. Then there are Termy Warmińskie in Lidzbark Warmiński in northern Poland and Termy Maltańskie in Poznań in the western part of the country. There’s yet another facility worth adding to the list: Termy Rzymskie in Czeladź, Śląskie province. Although they don’t have pools with water from thermal springs there, the sauna, bath, spa and wellness zone is very impressive.
Wellness, spa and body renewal centres are scattered all over the country, often located in amazing, almost fairy-tale places – at the seaside, in the mountains, on lakes and rivers, and in forests.

Some hold a Polish Tourism Organisation Certificate for best tourism product.
Among them is Lawendowa Osada in Przywidz, Pomerania. This unique agritourism farm is the perfect place to escape from civilisation. You can take advantage of a lavender-based wellness and spa offering as well as a salt cave, a Russian banya and a cold and hot tub. A visit to Lawendowa Osada is also an extraordinary culinary adventure. Guests can try goat’s- and cow’s-milk cheese infused with lavender as well as lavender jams and syrups which go perfectly with pancakes or tea.
Another interesting although different venue recognised by the Polish Tourism Organisation (POT) is Baseny Mineralne in Solec-Zdrój. This innovative complex located in a health resort in Świętokrzyskie province combines recreation with spa medicine. Open to anyone wishing to improve their health and wellbeing, it includes a recreation pool with hydrotherapy equipment, sauna and wellness zones, and Poland’s only medicinal pool, filled with brine from Ciechocinek and the world’s strongest sulphurous mineral water from Solec-Zdrój. At the Health Centre you can try a wide range of hydrotherapy, balneotherapy, kinesitherapy and massage treatments. The complex also offers hotel accommodation and a restaurant.
The earlier-mentioned Termy Uniejów and Terma Bania also hold POT Certificates. These two thermal pool complexes, both beautifully situated (the former in the newest health resort on the River Warta, the latter at the foot of the Tatra Mountains), offer extensive wellness, spa, body renewal, recreation, entertainment and catering facilities.
Meanwhile, Gołdap – Mazurski Zdrój has won the EDEN competition for European Destinations of Excellence in the health and wellbeing tourism category. Gołdap is a health resort in the north-eastern part of Warmińsko-Mazurskie province. It has many assets and the status of a mud-bath and climate therapy resort. It includes a sanatorium (spa facility with medical services), a pump room and graduation tower, modern health-spa infrastructure as well as spa and wellness centres.
