Surrounded by picturesque gardens and park land, the Palace of Rogalin is one of the most significant examples of Baroque architecture in Poland. Situated 30km south of Poznań, the 18th century palace is the former residence of the Raczyński family, now home to a permanent collection of paintings by a selection of internationally renowned artists. The striking design of the palace was inspired by the Roman temple Maison Carrée in Nîmes, France and is one of Poland’s most unique tourist attractions. After exploring the glorious gallery, halls and greenhouse walk through the Palace’s landscaped park and ancient oak trees, some of which are centuries old.
