Established in 1958 by Aleksander Rybicki, the Museum of Folk Architecture in Sanok is one of the most extensive open-air museums in Poland, offering an exclusive insight into the region's life, customs, and culture in the 19th and early 20th century.
The grounds are divided into distinct sections featuring different ethnic groups inhabiting the region before WWII. Some 200 buildings, including homes and churches, have been transported to the museum from surrounding villages, restored to their original condition, and furnished with authentic objects of the period.
