We cordially invite the Polish American community and Poles from Chicago and the surrounding areas to the multimedia concert shows "Saint of Wadowice - John Paul II," which will take place on October 21-23.

The main event will take place on October 23rd as the culmination of the Indulgence celebrations in honor of St. John Paul II at the John Paul II Sanctuary in Chicago - Polish Mission of the Cistercian Fathers on the 44th anniversary of the election of Karol Wojtyła to the See of Peter. In the days leading up to this concert, two additional "Saint" concerts will take place in Chicago parishes: St. Francis Borgia (October 21st) and the Parish of St. Alberta (October 22nd). Actors, Admission to all concerts is free of charge.

"SAINT" is the first musical show in Polish history about one of the most important and distinguished Poles - Saint John Paul II. His wisdom, courage, and enormous strength changed the course of history – especially the difficult times of the 20th  and 21st centuries when the world faced wars, crises, and attacks on freedom and human dignity. The performance "SAINT," co-produced by the Full of Culture Foundation and the National Culture Center, was created especially for the Kraków World Youth Day and premiered at the Kraków Opera on July 26th, 2016. An outdoor performance followed in the Wadowice market square in front of Karol Wojtyła's family residence.

The Chancellery of the Prime Minister finances the project as part of the Polonia and Poles abroad 2022 competition. The partners of the events are the John Paul II Sanctuary in Chicago - the Polish Mission of the Cistercian Fathers, St. Francis Borgia, Parish of St. Alberta, Polish Tourism Organization, the City of Wadowice, and Ingressus.
