New UNESCO site in Poland

Located in the lush green mountain region of Swietokrzyskie, explore four flint mining sites dating from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age. The area is one of the largest and best-preserved sites of its kind in the world, and this month became officially listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Visitors can learn about the area's fascinating history with one of the archaeological workshops or take the 500m underground trail to experience the unique chamber mines.
