"The Iron Curtain Trail" memorizes the ending of this conflict and Europe's reunion. EuroVelo 13 route passes through twenty countries and three seas. It is the longest route: by 2020 its total length will be 10 400 km. The aim of the trail is to encourage cyclists to learn more about this important part of history.
Polish part of the route will take you along the coast of Baltic Sea and two regions: Pomorskie and Zachodnio-Pomorskie. Your first most likely stop will be Tricity, where you can discover its rich history and nightlife. If you're nature or photography lover you will probably fall in love with lakes and dunes of Slowinski National Park.Later watch out for Frombork, where Nicolaus Copernicus spent the last years of his life. Finally, you get to Świnoujście, which is also called "The Land Of Forty Four Islands". And we have some good news for you: all of these attractions will be even easier to discover, as the polish part of this trail will be finished in 2017!
