Baltic – Adriatic cycling route

The full route is planned to be realised by the years 2017/2018. It is a wonderful trail connecting UNESCO heritage sites, landscapes, historical monuments and beautiful medieval towns. Travelling from north to south we start in Gdansk, a port city with a thousand years of tradition. While your stay in Gdansk you have a chance to go cycling on the beach, try some delicious fresh fish dishes, explore the grounds of the former shipyard or visit the Museum of World War II at Westerplatte.

The next part of the EV9 route takes you to the capital of Wielkopolska region, Poznan. It is worth to visit the Heritage Centre of Cathedral Island – ICHOT, an interactive museum intended to familiarize visitors with the history of the city. If you're tired you can relax at the Maltańskie Lake, which is another must see in the city. After leaving Poznan we are going further south towards Wroclaw. When you are in Wroclaw don't forget to see the Panorama Racławicka or visit the Centennial Hall and the oldest ZOO in Poland. Subsequently we are traveling through picturesque landscapes towards the Polish-Czech border. Taking everything into account the EuroVelo 9 is an extremely interesting trail with lots of fascinating places.
