Gorczanski National Park

This is a typical mountain forest park with rising slopes of tree stands. The Carpathian beech and fir woods make up the lower slopes, while the upper slopes of the mountain are dominated by spruce forest. Both Alpine and the natural endemic plants cover the numerous mountain
glades. The park’s fauna include typical forest animals such as red deer, roe deer, wild boar, lynx, wildcat, and wolf. Of special note is the population of wood grouse and the spotted salamander, which is the park’s emblem.
