Copernicus Science Centre

The Copernicus Science Centre is one of the largest and most modern institutions of this type in Europe. The aim of the Centre is to inspire curiosity, assist in the independent discovery of the world around us and help to teach and inspire social dialogue on science. It conducts modern scientific communication through interactive exhibitions addressed at different groups of recipients (adults, adolescents and children), shows and workshops on scientific themes, debates and discussions as well as activities from the borderlands of science and art.

The first module of the Centre building was opened on 5 November 2010 along with five exhibition galleries and the second module was opened to the public in 2011.

The Copernicus Science Centre has the status of a cultural institution that has been established and funded by the administration of the capital city, Warsaw, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of National Education.
