Zamosc - Jewel of Polish Renaissance
The Old Town complex, built in the 6th and 17th centuries, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The city's urban layout was designed to copy the plans of an ideal Italian urban model. Zamosc is the best-preserved Renaissance town in Poland. It has retained its attic-roofed burgher houses, magnificent town hall, churches and fortifications from the 16th and 19th centuries.
