Tickets and luggage
You can book your ticket at a travel agent, by phone or via the Internet. Discounts are frequently available. Please note that the total ticket price also includes airport taxes, fuel and other surcharges.
Many airlines offer discounts and run frequent promotions. Cheaper tickets can be also bought through Last Minute outlets. For further details contact an airline agent or visit their website.
Most airports operate a two tier system - one for EU citizens and one for non EU citizens. Here you have to produce your passport or identity card (for citizens of the EU traveling within the EU). Customs control desk is situated past the immigration control booths.
Similar procedures are applied to both inbound and outbound flights. Please note that check-in times may vary according on the airline policy.
Whilst waiting for your flight you can shop in the airport lounge for many popular goods sold at very attractive prices.
There are certain limitations regarding the content and size of hand luggage. Security measures and passenger safety regulations will not permit the transport of certain articles in your hand luggage. Up-to-date information can be found on every airline’s web site.
Please note that all airlines usually charge an additional cost for excess luggage.
Non-standard luggage such as skis, snowboards, bicycles or other larger items also attract an extra charge. Wheelchairs are transported free of charge.
