The region of Kotlina Klodzka (The Kłodzka Dales) is situated in the south-west of Poland. Because of its therapeutic waters it is frequently visited by people who are in need of repose and relaxation. The mineral springs in the area combined with a unique microclimate create excellent conditions for restful holidays all year round.

This region counts as many as forty towns or villages with sanatoriums and SPA facilities. Highly qualified staff assists and guide visitors helping them recover from any stress or to just simply feel healthier. Kotlina Klodzka has a well organised infrastructure and its health resorts are equipped with modern facilities.

Not only is it attractive to visitors for reasons of healthy climate, the exceptional features of Kotlina Klodzka have made it popular for horseback riding, biking and hiking in the mountains and swimming in the indoor swimming pool. Visitors can also take the waters at special mineral water points around the town, visit local monuments or simply enjoy the mountain views.

Worth seeing

Kotlina Klodzka is a unique natural phenomenon where within a relatively small area, visitors can find a variety of interests. It is close to the Sudety Mountains and visits can be easily extended to this region also. It is a place that tired and overworked people dream of, a place where they can forget some of their daily responsibilities and commitments.

Kudowa, Polanica and Duszniki are true havens of tranquillity. These little towns offer a wide range of SPA facilities and sanatoriums. People suffering from cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive and metabolic diseases can take a cure here. Drinking the mineral waters, benefiting from the healing proprieties of peat, hydro and electrotherapies are among the many ways of recovering ones health in these towns.

Piano concerts and festivals, which are much appreciated visitors, are organised in the Chopin Theatre in Duszniki Zdroj. The town is known not only for the visits Frederick Chopin made to local health resorts but also for its Paper Manufacture Museum. Located in a mill constructed circa 1605, it offers a paper making experience under the guidance of an instructor. This is the only enterprise of its kind in Europe.

After a satisfactory sojourn at a sanatorium, the Bystrzyckie region and the Stolowe Mountains are ready to be visited. This region is very close to the health resorts and is a good spot to try more active pursuits.
