
The first Warsaw festival, simply called "Jazz 58", took place at the "Stodola" Club in 1958. It was then that Leopold Tyrmand came up with its name: JAZZ JAMBOREE still used today.

Held in Krakow since 1994, the Etiuda&Anima International Film Festival confronts the achievements of art and film school students from across the globe and presents works of film animation artists - professional and independent filmmakers alike.

International Dance Theatres Festival in Lublin belongs to the biggest cultural events in Lublin, over the last few years it also became one of the most important dance theatres festivals in Europe.

Poland's oldest jazz festival, Krakowskie Zaduszki Jazzowe, takes place every year around All Souls Day (2 November). Musicians from all over the world perform in bars, churches (look out for the jazz Holy Mass!) and other venues across the city.

Szczecin is full of magical places. For over seventy years Henryk Wieniawski has lent his name to international violin competitions. The year 2011 will see the fourteenth edition of the event held in Poznan.
We shall see the oldest Jewish sacred religious building in Poland which still stands along this route, the grave of a famous Rabbi which the Nazis did not dare tear down, a synagogue with stained-glass windows (a true rarity!), and the family home of the queen of cosmetics, Helena Rubinstein who hailed from Kazimierz.
