Border checkpoints

Tourists wishing to visit countries neighbouring Poland can cross at tourist border checkpoints. They are an ideal solution for skiing enthusiasts as well as hiking or cycling devotee.

Tourist border checkpoints

You can cross these borders with a valid passport but sometimes there will be no Border Guard officials to check you! It is best to know that tourist border checkpoints are usually open at specified times. The vast majority of these types of crossings are located on tourist routes.

In some countries a special tourist visa is required. Tourist border checkpoints are open to EU tourists as well as non-EU visitors. You need to make sure in advance however, what documents are necessary to cross this border. If you are planning a journey with a rented car, you have to check beforehand if the car rental company has an official agreement for a border crossing with their vehicles.
