The Royal Castle and the Cathedral are situated on the Wawel Hill. Polish monarchs and historical figures are interred in the Cathedral, which also used to be the place of royal coronations.

'A Lady with an Ermine' is a 1485 painting by Leonardo da Vinci. The painting is one of only four female portraits ever painted by Leonardo. It can be seen in the Czartoryski Museum in Kraków
