Organized for the tenth time, the Premiere Festival in Bydgoszcz is a competition for repertoire theatres which presents the most interesting Polish theatre productions that premiered during the preceding theatre season.

For the fifth time the Premiere Festival takes place extended to the Annexe which presents international premiere co-productions. The event is accompanied by film projections, academic sessions, stage readings, lectures and meetings with creators of the performances.

During the Premiere Festival, other performances and happenings, as well as conferences and meetings with directors, theatre artistic directors, theatre critics and experts in the field of theatre take place, due to which the Festival becomes a forum for exchanging ideas and discussing subjects concerning the contemporary drama and theatre.
