Wratislavia Cantans, also referred to as the International Festival of Oratorio and Cantata Music, is held every September (2-18 September 2011) in Wrocław (Lower Silesia). The first festival was organized in 1966 by Andrzej Markowski: a composer and conductor, who took the post of the director of the Wrocław Philharmonic in 1965 and who performed the function of artistic director of the Festival until 1976. Currently, the artistic director is Paul McCreesh. He will be replaced by Mr. Anotnini in 2013.

The Polish constitution of May 3, 1791, was the first constitution adopted in Europe and world’s second constitution after that of the United States.
